You can’t win em all. At least, I can’t anyway. I’m hoping for a better round 3 and 4. Go Cats!
I’ve gone out a limb and filled out my brackets for the record. And yes that’s right, I’m ever hopeful that youthful athleticism of The Cats and experienced coaching of Calapari will bring home the banner this year. Caroline’s Crimson Tide brought home the football title, perhaps The Cats will be able to do the same on the Basketball side of the Scifres houshold.
Finally finished the 2009 Adventure book – (Preview Book). 470 Photos in 240 pages using BookSmart by blurb.com. This is the third year I have used blurb.com to produce our custom print on demand annual. A new feature of the application I really enjoyed this year is that you can now edit the fixed layouts and create your own new custom layouts. I didn’t use that feature as much as I would like to have done on this years book mainly because of the rush to get it out. I intended to do more customization going forward. If I can just discipline myself to build this thing each month vs. the entire thing at the end of the year.
Below are links to the 2008 and 2007 books.
Mr. Smog, a Bearded Dragon may become our newest pet if I don’t manage to get him back to Plum Tree Montessori soon. Caroline is totally obsessed with him and getting awfully attached to him. He is kind of neat.
The Known Universe is from the American Museum of Natural History and shows a view of the universe, starting from the Himalayas and quickly moving out to the edge where all is black and scary – this was made possible by the records in the Digital Universe Atlas.
Burgess Falls State Park is a state park and state natural area in Putnam County and White County, Tennessee, located in the Southeastern United States. The park is situated around a steep gorge in which the Falling Water River drops 250 feet (76 m) in elevation in less than a mile, culminating in a 136-foot (41 m) cataract waterfall.
I was fortunate enough to be able to visit this park while on the way for a weekend camping at Standing Stone State Park. This place is totally amazing, it was like walking on to the set of Jurassic Park. The hike down the falls is pretty strenuous and along several sections the trail has a 20-40 foot drop down one side. So be careful particularly with children if you take them along like I did. I was looking for a good place to get T’s done for the group and I ran across Cafepress.com. You should really go check it out. They have all kinds of stuff you can create. I tried to do some versions of shirts we might want to use. I think I like the off white with the brown logo best personally. Does anybody have a preference? Pat can you help me out by doing a PNG of both the brown and the black logo? The final product will be much better that way.
