A professor of archaeology was on an excavation at the site when he found an ancient and interesting item. He took it home and put it in his study. His wife and children were away so there was no other person in the house. He locked up and went to bed. In the morning he was horrified to find the item was gone. A thorough search showed it was not in the house. There had been no break-in and no one else had entered or left the house. What had happened?

Was it a piece of an iceberg or something like that.

It was an ancient truffle…and in his sleepwalking madness he couldn’t resist.. he went and ate it.

It was a scarab beetle. It awoke from being in its dormant slumber under the sands and burrowed under his skin consuming him from within. He doesn’t have much longer to live.

Was it a bone and the dog took it? Because it stated there was no other person.

You know, this really isn’t fair. By the time I come in, in the morning, you guys have already figured it out! (NOT that I would EVER get it anyway, ha, ha!) But I should get a default prize or something for being way out here in Ventura… all alone. :-( So sad…

I’ll try and post these after 10:30 going forward
